‘Dragon goes House-Hunting’ gets an Anime Adaptation

It has been confirmed by Signal.MD that they will be adapting the Shōnen Manga series, Dragon goes House-Hunting (Dragon, Ie Wo Kau) for a brand new Anime Series set to premiere in April 2021.

Debuting in December 2016’s Monthly Comic Garden, a Shōnen Magazine from Mag Garden and picked up by Seven Seas Entertainment; written by Kawo Tanuki and illustrated by Choco Aya, Dragon goes House-Hunting is a tale of a dragon who fails to live up to the fearsome standards set for him, his family kicks him out. He embarks on a quest to find a new home but soon finds that life on the road is no place for a cowardly beast of legend. In a fantasy world full of elves, dwarves, and other mythical creatures, where everyone wants a piece of him—literally!—the frustrations of house-hunting reach a whole new level. The Manga series has been collected in five tankōbon volumes so far, with a sixth volume on the way for the US on February 16th, 2021.

Here is the cast so far listed for the new Anime:

Letty (Voiced by Shun Horie)

A timid young male red dragon who is kicked out for being too cowardly and weak. Letty goes on a journey in search of his ideal home.

Dearia (Voiced by Kaito Ishikawa)

An elf who introduces himself as a real estate agent and offers to guide Letty in his house-hunting quest. In reality, Dearia is a Demon King.

Nell (Voiced By Misato Fukuen)

A human princess who meets Letty when he’s out of his house-hunting quest and becomes his friend. Nell is a kind-hearted girl, but she is also strong-willed and she has a mischievous personality.

Pip (Voiced by Shiori Izawa)

(“P-Chan”), a chick of the Hræsvelgr species. Pip imprints on Letty and calls him “Papa”. Pip’s full name is Piyovelt Phelpia Pi Alpine Piyoderika.

The series is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation, and BS Fuji beginning in April of 2021. Also, with Studio Signal.MD handling the Animation Production, Haruki Kusagamori will be the Director.
