That is right Walking Dead fans, it was announced today that fan favorite Danai Gurira will be exiting her recurring role of Michonne on The Walking Dead.
Danai Gurira, who is also known for also being a playwright and a gifted writer, wrote Eclipsed; after landing the role of Michonne on The Walking Dead she went on acting in films such as “All Eyez on Me” and one of her biggest roles yet, the fierce, and strong general of the Dora Mijale named Okoye in The Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. Even though she will be reprising the role in the confirmed sequel of Black Panther, she has a key role in the upcoming film Avengers: Endgame.
She will exit the show after a “handful” of episodes throughout Season 10. She reprises her role on the midseason premiere of Season 9’s The Walking Dead on AMC on February 10th.
